Cheers to our judiciary!

Please join us for our annual celebration honoring our judiciary. This year, we will be joined by Marc Kessler, Esq. of Columbus, Ohio. While Marc’s day to day practice involves mostly complex commercial and “bet-the-company” litigation, he will be sharing his experiences and insight related to his sports law practice. Marc represents athletes in several sports and over the last 30 years has represented professional sports leagues as well. As the headlines have shown recently, the NCAA now allows college athletes to earn money by using their own name, image, and likeness (“NIL”) for profit. This development has changed the landscape of collegiate sports, possibly forever. The new augmentation in the NCAA rules creates countless innovative opportunities for collegiate athletes to earn income from their NIL while engaged in college athletics without sacrificing eligibility. Marc has unique insight into the fascinating intersection of sports and business and the recent developments in sports law relating to NIL; he will also touch on the ethical representation of athletes.

We look forward to seeing you there!
